"The GL500 is a powerful GPS locator designed for fixed asset monitoring applications. The GL500 works with two CR123A lithium batteries, can be configured to "wake up" at preset times to check if it is necessary to change the operating mode or receive commands, and/or send location reports, and then return to hibernation mode. Optimally configured, the battery life is over 1,000 days. With the integrated motion sensor, the GL-500 can also detect any movement of the asset and send an alarm message. The GL500 can communicate with communication servers via the GPRS/GSM network for report and alarm sending, or with a telephone number via SMS. System integrators can easily incorporate the communication protocol into existing systems."
