GPS - GSM tracking device is made of high-sensitivity GPS receiver, modern GSM modem SIEMENS (CINTERION) MC55i, master microcontrollers and executive schemes combined in a complete unit. The main and most important element in the device is its operating microprogram or the so-called 'firmware'. The reliability, stability, multitasking capability, and quality of work of the GPS - GSM device and the geoinformational control system over transportation in general depend on the level of its 'intelligence', the duration and thoroughness of testing, adjustment, and additional testing.
