The LMU-1100 is a complete vehicle tracking and communications device that incorporates next-generation technology, high-sensitivity GPS on GSM/GPRS cellular networks for installation in any 12 or 24-volt mobile vehicle. An internal antenna and quality for cellular and GPS eliminate the need for wireless antennas and make the LMU-1100 mountable anywhere on the vehicle for simple and low-cost installations. Messages are transported over the GSM/GPRS network with enhanced SMS or UDP messages providing a reliable communication link between the device and application servers. PEG continuously monitors the vehicle's environment and instantly responds to predefined threshold conditions related to time, date event combinations, motion, geographic location of the zone, inputs, and others. This behavior can be programmed by CalAmp prior to shipment, at a customer's facility, or over the air once the unit has been deployed. Over-the-Air Serviceability The LMU-1100 also leverages CalAmp's industry-leading over-the-air maintenance management system and device, PULS™ (Programming, Updates, and Logistics System).
