The Honeywell Global Tracking SAT-202-LRIT satellite terminal is designed to fully comply with the International Maritime Organization's mandatory rule V/19-1, Long Range Identification & Tracking of Ships (LRIT) Regulation. These UN regulations state that ships over 300 gross tonnage venturing into international waters must send periodic reports to their designated flag authority, ship ID identification, ship position, as well as the date and time of the ship's position. The SAT-202-LRIT is a low-cost standalone solution, ideal for vessels that either do not have compliant equipment or the cost of upgrading existing equipment is prohibitive. It uses the Inmarsat IsatM2M Protocol terminal and ensures full compliance at a very low cost, both for the ship operator and the flag State. The SAT-202-LRIT is preconfigured out of the box ready for LRIT operation and includes the satellite modem, mounting bracket, and a 20m (65ft) cable - everything needed for proper installation. SAT-202-LRIT terminals have a very low profile, making them ideal for discreet maritime installations where security is paramount. The SAT-202-LRIT will automatically roam between geostationary satellites, allowing for complete, transparent, and uninterrupted global coverage in all oceanic regions of the world. Honeywell Global Tracking has been successful in the maritime market for many years, providing solutions for both the commercial and private sectors. All of our maritime solutions are easy to install and fully certified for marine environments.
