The Cipia FS10 is a telematic video device compatible with driver monitoring systems (DMS). It is available with or without LTE connectivity and offers an optional ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) camera. Using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and with the help of an infrared sensor, the FS10 tracks the position of the driver's head, eyelids, and gaze direction to provide a real-time assessment of the driver's state (alert, distracted, drowsy), actions (smoking, seatbelt, and holding a phone), and identity (recognition of enrolled drivers). The device uses visual (LED), audio, and voice alerts to provide the driver with real-time alerts when dangerous actions such as fatigue, distraction, holding the phone while driving, etc. are detected. The Cipia FS10 reports to the platform and sends customized alerts of the vehicles to the fleet manager/dispatcher, which can be scheduled by type and frequency from the platform. The AI software reduces false alerts, eliminating the need for manual reclassification of alerts. The device detects real-time camera manipulation and calibration loss to notify the fleet operator and enable a quick response to the situation. The collected data allows for driver identification and improves workforce management. This device can be configured at various levels to meet the needs of each fleet.
